Product Details
At Falcon Valves & Flanges Pvt. Ltd., we design, manufacture, and supply high-integrity Inconel Ball Valves for extreme environments where standard stainless steels suffer from mechanical creep, thermal oxidation, or severe stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
Inconel (Nickel-Chromium-Iron superalloy) is the material of choice for high-temperature, high-pressure, and severely corrosive applications.
1. Design Standards & Engineering ParametersFalcon Inconel ball valves are designed to satisfy stringent international piping codes for complete pressure containment and absolute operational safety.
Core Design Standards: API 6D (Pipeline Valves), ASME B16.34 (Pressure-Temperature Ratings), and ISO 17292 / BS 5351 (Metal Ball Valves).
Wall Thickness & Dimensions: Thick-walled construction strictly compliant with ASME B16.34 to handle extreme pressure cycles.
Face-to-Face Standards: ASME B16.10 or EN 558 to ensure standard drop-in replacement in industrial pipelines.
End Connections: Available in Flanged (ASME B16.5 up to $24\text{"}$), Butt-Weld (ASME B16.25), Socket-Weld (ASME B16.11), and NPT Threaded ends.
Top Flange Configuration: Built with an integrated ISO 5211 mounting pad for immediate, rigid bracketless automation (pneumatic/electric actuators).
The manufacturing process at Falcon relies heavily on chemical purity and controlled grain refinement to prevent common superalloy failure modes like "hot shortness" or micro-cracking during welding.
Forged vs. Cast Inconel Grades Utilized:Wrought/Forged Line (ASTM B564 / ASME SB564):
Inconel 600 (UNS N06600): Designed for high temperature oxidation resistance and resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking.
Inconel 625 (UNS N06625): High addition of Molybdenum and Niobium providing superior strength and pitting resistance.
Inconel 718 (UNS N07718): Precipitation-hardened grade providing extreme yield strength at temperatures up to $700^\circ\text{C}$.
Cast Line (ASTM A494 / ASME SA494):
Grade CY40 (Inconel 600 Equivalent): Excellent for foundry pouring of complex flanged bodies.
Grade CW6MC (Inconel 625 Equivalent): High corrosion-erosion resistance for large-scale severe service valves.
Forging/Casting: Hot bar stock refinement or precise mold pouring to eliminate internal porosity.
Solution Annealing: Heat treatment to stabilize the chrome-carbides and optimize grain structure.
Precision Machining: CNC machining of the body, followed by mirror-polishing the internal Inconel ball to an ultra-smooth finish to reduce operating torque.
Every Falcon Inconel ball valve undergoes an intensive quality checklist before leaving our manufacturing floor.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):Positive Material Identification (PMI): 100% of body and trim components are verified via X-ray fluorescence (XRF) or optical emission spectrometry (OES) to guarantee exact Inconel chemistry.
Radiographic Testing (RT) / Ultrasonic Testing (UT): Conducted on cast bodies (RT) and forged bar stocks (UT) to detect sub-surface defects or shrinkage cavities.
Dye Penetrant Testing (DP): Applied to all weld overlays, stellite seats, and critical machined joints to ensure zero surface cracks.
All Falcon shipments come complete with a digital and physical engineering turn-over package:
EN 10204 Type 3.1 Certified Material Test Reports (MTR) confirming mechanical properties and heat traceability.
Pressure Testing Certificates (API 598).
NACE Compliance Certificates.
Detailed Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
