  • Double Offset (High Performance): * The shaft is offset from the centerline of the disc and the seat.

    • Benefit: This creates a "cam-action" that lifts the disc off the seat quickly, reducing friction and extending the life of PTFE or reinforced seats in brine service.

  • Triple Offset (Zero Leakage / Severe Service): * Incorporates a third offset—the geometry of the seating surface itself (a conical shape).

    • Benefit: This allows for metal-to-metal seating with no rubbing during travel. It provides a bubble-tight, bi-directional shutoff even at high temperatures and high pressures where soft seats would fail.
