Product Details
Falcon’s Inconel 825 Basket Strainers are designed for industries where standard stainless steel fails. Combining the superior corrosion resistance of a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with Falcon’s precision engineering, these strainers provide robust protection for pumps, valves, and heat exchangers in the most aggressive chemical and thermal environments.
Design & QualityOur strainers are engineered to meet stringent international standards (ASME B16.34 / Section VIII).
Optimal Flow Dynamics: Designed for low-pressure drops and high dirt-holding capacity.
Material Integrity: Inconel 825 offers exceptional resistance to both oxidizing and reducing acids, as well as chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
Ergonomics: Quick-opening covers for ease of maintenance and basket cleaning.
At Falcon, quality is built-in, not added on.
Advanced CNC Machining: Ensures tight tolerances and perfect seal integrity.
Specialized Welding: Utilizes TIG/MIG processes specifically calibrated for high-nickel alloys to prevent weld-decay and maintain structural strength.
Customization: Available in a wide range of mesh sizes, from coarse perforated plate to ultra-fine micron lining.
Every unit undergoes a comprehensive validation protocol before leaving our facility:
Hydrostatic Testing: Conducted at 1.5x the design pressure.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Including Radiography, Dye Penetrant (DP), and Positive Material Identification (PMI) to verify alloy purity.
Pneumatic Testing: For gas-service applications to ensure zero-leakage performance.
Falcon’s Inconel 825 Basket Strainers are defined by high-performance metallurgy and precision geometry. We maintain full control over the production cycle to ensure every unit meets the "Falcon Standard."
1. Product Range & CapabilitiesWe offer a comprehensive selection of configurations to fit diverse piping architectures:
| Feature | Specifications |
| Sizes | 1/2" (DN15) to 24" (DN600) |
| Pressure Ratings | ASME Class 150, 300, 600, 900, and 1500 |
| End Connections | Flanged (RF, RTJ), Butt-weld, Socket-weld, or NPT Threaded |
| Basket Designs | Single Basket (Simplex), Multi-Basket, or Pleated (High-Surface Area) |
| Filtration Levels | Perforated (1/16" to 1/2") and Mesh Lined (up to 5 microns) |
Falcon’s manufacturing process is built on a "Zero-Defect" philosophy. Every Inconel 825 strainer is tracked via a unique heat number for 100% traceability.
Material Verification: Positive Material Identification (PMI) is performed on every casting and forged component to ensure nickel (38-46%) and chromium (19.5-23.5%) levels meet ASTM B366/B705 standards.
Welding Excellence: All welding procedures are qualified to ASME Section IX. We utilize specialized heat-input controls to prevent the precipitation of chromium carbides.
Surface Finish: Standard pickling and passivation; optional electro-polishing for high-purity chemical applications.
Each strainer is subjected to a rigorous battery of tests to validate structural integrity and sealing:
Shell Test: Hydrostatic pressure test at 1.5 times the maximum working pressure.
Seat/Seal Test: Pneumatic air test to ensure zero-leakage at the cover gasket and drain plugs.
Dimensional Accuracy: Full inspection against ASME B16.5 (for flanges) and ASME B16.10 (for face-to-face dimensions).
Visual Inspection: Conducted per MSS-SP-55 to ensure flawless surface quality.
Falcon provides more than just hardware; we provide application-specific solutions.
Flow Calculation: We provide $C_v$ values and pressure drop curves for every mesh size.
Corrosion Consultation: Expert guidance on Inconel 825 performance
Documentation: Every shipment includes a Certified Material Test Report
